I wanted to open up and share this with all of you especially my fellow mothers or mamas-to be. This was my first pregnancy, and I carried my baby all the way to 39 weeks before delivering via C-section. Recovery was hard honestly, one of the most physically and emotionally demanding experiences I’ve ever had. But I embraced it, honored it, and came out stronger. I gave my body time. I nourished it with the right foods. I focused on healing before rushing into “bouncing back.” And slowly but surely, I began to feel like me again. It took me less than a year to get back on track not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. But let me be clear: ✨ Every body is different. And every journey is valid. So to the mamas out there navigating postpartum, I encourage you to: 💛 Be patient. 💛 Feed your body what it truly needs. 💛 Rest without guilt. 💛 And give yourself grace so much grace. What a transformational journey this has been. I never imagined how deeply this experience would stretch me, grow me, and teach me to mother myself first. Because here’s the truth I’ve learned: We are the greatest project we will ever work on. Before becoming a mother to my babygirl I had to: 🌿 Learn how to slow down 🌿 Listen to my body 🌿 Honor my emotions 🌿 Choose rest over hustle 🌿 Nourish not just my belly, but my soul To any mama reading this especially first-time moms like I was: You’re allowed to be both a work in progress and a masterpiece in the making. Your healing, your peace, your growth… it all matters. 💛 You matter. So as you prepare to bring life into this world 🌎 or if you’re already in it don’t forget to pour life into you too. ✨ Tell me, mama… How are you taking care of yourself today? What has this pregnancy or postpartum journey taught you so far? What’s one thing you’re doing just for you this week? Drop it in the comments I’d love to connect. 🫶🏼 Because this isn’t just about pregnancy… it’s about rebirth. And you, mama, are doing an incredible job. Never forget it.#Lemon8
