It's because the difficulty is a learning curve and the combat gives you a safe option and risky option to learn with. It doesn't feel that brutal because its at your pace and comfortable. It's still challenging but its not frustrating.

Exactly. Most games just dont feel satisfying to overcome challenges. This compelled me to challenge and beat everything
