Nigeria absolutely did not send troops to Ethiopia during the 1935–1936 Fascist Italian invasion. At that time, Nigeria was a British colony, completely lacking an independent government or its own army. Any military decisions, including troop deployments, were made by the British colonial authorities, not by Nigerians. Therefore, any claim that Nigeria independently sent forces during that specific conflict is a historical inaccuracy. While Nigerian soldiers later participated in World War II under British command, that was a separate matter and not an independent Nigerian intervention in the Italo-Ethiopian War of 1935-1936.
