There’s a couple on this app I think he’s a ER physician and she’s a pharmacist or vice versa but they share their txt messages during work and the pharmacist literally tells the physician what they can/can’t prescribed or use or what will have a reaction and truly they save lives! And no one understands how complex this profession is! You guys are geniuses

I use to pharm tech and pharmacists do not “just fill pills” they do SO much more. I remember my pharmacist had to deny a doctor’s note because the medication did not match the patient symptoms. It was a whole mess, but of course the pharmacist was right because they know more about medications!!!

Pharmacist literally safe people life from unprofession doctors all our study years is about medicine however doctors has to study only pharmacology and some of them fail the course

It’s so unfortunate people don’t understand what we do. I remember learning in school to not tell patients that part of our role is to prevent medication errors because they didn’t want us to break trust between patients and their providers. If only they knew the errors we have prevented…

So true ppl think its just 4 yrs actual studied pharmacy material and be dr. but they dont know how much a pharmacy student study, literally 24x7 in that 4yrs with 😳

My daughter is starting at Xavier in the fall in the 3 plus 1 program. She’ll apply for pharm school at UC her junior year and compete her 4th year at UC pharm school but graduate with a bachelor’s at Xavier. She’ll continue her journey at UC in pharm school three more years. Is your rotations an additional 2 years so 10 years total?

Pharmscists can't do anything without MD, they just serve to do what MD say to patient. They can give you SpF or tooth paste, or some analgesics

Still personally devastated pharmacists don’t have a doctorate program in the UK - we do an MPharm integrated Masters, which is a 4 year degree (so way less time consuming), but I’d love have a doctorate 🤣
