@jeanne_retired: One of the hardest things I’m learning to do in retirement is relax! It’s so hard to just chill and be versus do! #retirement #retired #retireearly #retirementplanning #retirementadvice #genx #boomer #over50 #over60
It’s my first year of retirement and I’m the same way - I find reasons to get up and out in the mornings! Sometimes I just drive around and explore. lol.

I'm retired 6 months, and I'm learning as well. I have to remind myself I worked 40 years to be able to just do nothing and relax. To put things off until tomorrow because I don't have to rush to get back to anything.

I’m on your same retirement time line. I had stopped reading novels 20 years ago after my husband died because I didn’t have the patience. I just picked up a beach read, super light, to get back into reading for fun

It’s the 80/20 rule for leaders. Give us the 20 not the 80!

Medically retired in October. TERRIBLE time of year to retire. Winter was sooooo hard and long! Do not recommend.

I walk a lot to relax and I will stop and look at the water or some trees or something in nature and just take ten deep breath’s letting it out slowly. Makes a huge difference in your brain pattern.

Almost 3 yrs for me too. I used to always say I’m more of a magazine girl. But I do love a good book…except I always flip to the last chapter so I know how it ends. What is that all about?? lol

Off topic but do you have multiple accounts? An account with 10k followers added me as a friend…hard to tell if it’s valid. Thx … I retired on Friday 😍

I am still working part time but the way my employer treated me after 16+ years makes me reconsider not fully retiring. I would greatly miss my co-workers. I did reduce my stress level though and have read a few books. I have found great joy yelling at the squirrels eating all the bird seed. … perhaps I should find something better.

I’m still in process. When you work for 38 years it’s likely to take a few years and that’s ok.
