This actually happened to me once but I was a kid and my mom forgot it at a hotel. The hotel staff faxed a copy of it and it worked. My mom also had a major meltdown so that helped.

I knew my inlaws were toxic when I was 18. we was heading to the next town over (1 hour drive) and 20 minutes in a realised I had lost my purse, told them and apologised and they shouted and talked shit about me infront of me for the test of the journey 🙃 hope it worked out better for you
