there was a startup around here doing that by scanning Twitter for the pictures of hail people would post after storms. got down to block level detail in some places of where the worst damage was.

there's a chance he really made this trade and got lucky, but there's no chance he actually had the information advantage he thinks he had. this like a roulette player who thinks he figured out a system to win every time. just because you won this time doesn't mean the system worked.
