Spoiler but . . . don't think people realize that Simone was a vision of her past self. in the end Simone did the same thing she did and took somone husband. they both didn't grow up great and did what they needed to get out and used a man to do it. they are the same people just can't see it.

I think it’s all about the misogyny, neither Kiki nor Simone or the Ex wife had real power. It was always Peter. And all the men in the show think a woman can’t live on her own. The ending makes sense, Simone thinking she has it all like Kiki thought back then

i think the "sirens" are the women because the men keep making mistakes out of their own free will (peter not talking to his kids, ray leaving his wife and kids for devon, and ethan blaming his fall from the cliff on simone) basically blaming the women for their mistakes and "luring" them into doing things (which they never asked for)
