I don’t think people fully understand what AI actually is. At its core, AI is built from lines of code—complex, yes, but still designed and controlled by humans. Systems like Alexa aren’t truly ‘intelligent’ in the way people imagine. They operate on pre-programmed commands and pattern recognition. Even advanced AI like ChatGPT or other large language models don’t ‘think’ or have intentions. They predict words based on patterns in data—they don’t have goals, emotions, or self-awareness. The idea of AI ‘taking over’ is more science fiction than science. We’re a long way from anything like general intelligence, and even then, it would still require massive safeguards and human oversight. AI is a tool—powerful, yes—but not magical or autonomous.
