@built.different.garage: What should I do? Just run this 99-04 Dana 60 and have fun with it or wait to build the Jeep? I’m thinking we run the 99-04 60 and upgrade as we see fit down the road! #cartok #builtdifferentgarage #jeep #jeepsoftiktok #offroad #axleswap #fabrication #custom #DIY #jeepcj7 #cj7 #garage #offroading #welding #fabricate
Leaf springs are for poor people, link it. Go on ruffstuff’s website and buy yourself a three link kit. If you don’t want to run coil overs, you could run some TJ coil springs and save some money. It will ride 1000 times better than any leaf spring set up.

So what’s your goal with the CJ? That’s the big question that’ll help you decide on what size axle you need based on what size tire you wanna run

I have broken a 10 bolt in my K5 Blazer, it was just the ring gears so easy fix, they had 330,000 mi on it, I was not kind to it and when it broke it's because I was pulling a 1-ton Dodge out of some mud, I think in a jeep it'll be plenty fine.

Could link it. It’s probably light enough you could go air shocks to keep the cost down

Chop the axle? It’s a lot of work but I’ve seen people do it. Can only imagine the tooling cost cutting through that though

I used this one on my 69 bronco, it wasn’t the best but it wasn’t terrible because I went with a 3 link. I had to cut the housing but it’s all welded to the link mount now like a truss.

if your planning to use the jeep poeer train the chevy axle os gonna give you more issues pass drop vs drivers drop. Be better to find a a fsj d44 or a ford d44hd that will match your 14bolt 8 lug

Sometimes it’s best to get the axle that’ll work best than making the axle you got a deal on work. Ask me how I know…
