So I also have a Houdini Hippo and after trying 6 muzzles I found that If you get a thinline muzzle and attach it to a normal everyday headcollar (add a breakaway attachment to the buckle) it stays on. We’re 3 months strong so far 😮💨

I have the thinline grazing muzzle attached to a field safe headcollar and I find using bailer twine up between the eyes & ears and tying it onto the headpiece and into the forelock helps🤣she never gets it off this way! Sometimes I put a fly mask on top as well which helps

2 of our 3 horses had to have muzzles on at one point and they all 3 helped each other get them off 😅 we started putting fly masks over top of everything and it at least slowed them down a little bit lol. I feel your pain 😅

Can you make a smaller paddock for her. I tried grazing muzzle for years and then my mate got lammi she ls just like misty looks and gains it bless her. We moved to a yard where I have full control now she’s in small paddocks yes we give hay cause I won’t let her out on the rich grass I’m to scared but she went from 600kg to 400kg. Like I said we don’t starve her but she’s on a stripped paddock with access to hay and she’s looking better for it
