ive been against generative ai since the beginning partly bc of the environmental impact but MAINLY the way it damages the creative world and creatives themselves. I dread the day film tv music etc made using ai will be winning awards over actual art. Its destroying human creativity and cognition.

kind of an aside, but IMO the ability of AI to generate art at (or even beyond) human capability is a mid-2020s novelty. The fascination will fade. Humans value art *because* it is the expression of other humans.
