You could cut narrow the axle housing on the long tube side if you're not looking to keep the full width.

cut the casting back and build your leaf spring purch to connect the diff, tube and C all together. it will be stronger than when you started. out boarding them that much the tires with rub the springs when turned.

cut the casting, weld the tube to the housing, then weld spring perch. problem solved .

You can also taper the leaf springs, a little narrower in the front a little water in the rear, and it won’t look quite so strange and will also add stability

what size tire are ypu gonna run cus ypu don't need tons till you get near 38-40 if your staying around 35 which can be hard to fit under cjs go d44

might be a dumb question but have you thought about putting box truss system attached to the c? I just started following and don't know if you can fab and weld. hope you get it figured out!
