High level sensory environment training is just as relevant as being able to do it in a controlled environment. She needs to scoot herself back to get a better viewing angle and be less likely to put the blade against the teeth when she lifts the jaw.

we did a mass casualty scenario at the end of our class, hiked 3 miles in to a "plane crash" in winter and pitch black. if you can do it in horrible conditions you can do it anywhere!

Honestly this is great training - you will almost never have an optimal environment for patient care. Bad lighting, awkward angles, cramped spaces are more common. (At least in my experience)

hey i have a more realistic change hoarded space with one lamp in the living room and a tv you cannot reach or have no way to turn off blasting jeopardy and its 2am you have the light of a 35 watt bulb and the tv at your disposal and only one person brought a flastlight. also the batteries on the flashlight keep dieing

In EMT school our retired fire medic took us out to the busy roads pulled over it was sunset and said I’ll be over here go ahead and board ‘em without talking.. we only had the headlights as lights and man it was rough but I understood in that moment. Shit happens and you just gotta do it man
