Interesting. I am learning quite a bit from you. Question: if you can, truthfully, how much freedoms of thought and outright input can these 8 parties have with the ruling class? I had a Chinese teacher in my ESL class, and she didn’t want to talk about much. Good to hear about different inputs but to what extent are they really free to think and speak?

People from the village elect representatives to the town, and then the town representatives elect representatives to the city, and then to the province, and then China's highest authority is formed: the National People's Congress. All laws are formulated and the national leaders are confirmed by the National People's Congress.
