@nzherald: The cut-off is nearing for KiwiSaver members to receive the Government’s full contribution – the last time before it halves. For every $1 a member pays into KiwiSaver up to $1042.86 each year, the Government puts in 50c – or $521.43 annually. But from July 1, the Government contribution is decreasing to 25% (or 25 cents for every $1 contributed) to a maximum of $260.72. Finance Minister Nicola Willis spoke with Herald NOW's @ryanbridgenz to discuss the changes.

Nicola Willis was a director of The NZ Initiative, a think tank linked to the Atlas Network. Like Ruth Richardson before her, she's pushing cuts disguised as reform. This is Ruthenasia 2.0.

Has anyone reviewed what we could save cutting under performing government MPs and reducing the number of perks the public is paying for? Bet that could contribute a fair amount to the cuts necessary to cover the giant billion dollar fiscal hole the NZ govt just created for the Ministries given as an employer the NZ govt now contributes more to their employees funds, and tells the ministries to cut back on their services to cover it, making the entire system of public services worse off than it was before
