I don’t think all/most people look down on 9-5’s. It’s just 9-5’s are not for those people looking to be comfortably wealthy. Also, there are smarter LT options available in the world of 2025 than a 9-5!

This. If you work a 9-5 don’t ever feel bad. It’s consistent and shows your discipline. You can make a lot of money working a “9-5” if you’re smart about it.

It’s not about making loads of money and having 0 free time in a corporate job. It’s about making a lot of money but having freedom to work when you want and where you want. Corporate roles definitely do not offer this especially as you climb the ladder

I could never be self-employed. My husbands parents and my parents both had their own businesses. They made a lot of money, but were always working. Our 9-5s ensure that we are home and with our family. We are well educated and make great incomes (I’m part time now and still earn well), and we work to live. Nothing is more important than family time. No one gets to the end of their life wishing they had spent more time at work.

99.99% work to exist. A simple example, most people are paying 500-800£ payments for a car per month, to go to work, to earn £2500 each month. Work to exist.
