This just caused divide .We say Lee kaun yew looked at our country and did this and that and we also say how Lee kaun yew did this for Singapore .im saying this cause I know what he did .He brought a bridge between Chinese Singaporeans , Malay Singaporeans and Indian Singaporeans and that was called English .He United Singapore to speak one language . He did not force Malays or Indian to speak Chinese and neither did those others force their languages on others . Today Singapore is the richest in the world . They United their nation to speak the universal language today in Sri Lanka we canโt ring world class banks cause of are poor understanding and speaking in English
