hitting child is abuse. plain and simple. hitting doesn't do what adults think it does. psychology has proven time and time again all that does is make the children resent and hate their parents. mine are cut out of my life for this very reason. it does nothing but make them hate the parent. raising your voice is more than enough.

🫠 according to the cops I called at 14 any physical contact is just a punishment and absolutely allowed until I turned 18. So the high heal to the back of my head was just "discipline" while I was actively bleeding

it worked on me as a kid, learned not to make serious decisions, but it was also rare, like maybe 4 times in my life. still got a good relationship with my family

hitting kids kinda sucks. I used to get hit a lot and I was definitely mentally unwell. Now my siblings don't get hit rarely ever will it happen. I think it helped build a better bond, they don't keep secrets, are generally more open, and have better social skills than me and my 2 other sisters.
