My 50 y/o son told me today he doesn’t think he’ll ever drink again bc as his brain has healed, he can’t imagine going backwards. Any person can heal from drugs or alcohol if they want it 🙏

That comment isn’t nice. They look very promising. My son was in the life of smugs for years. I told him every chance I got that I was proud of him. Even in the really dark days. He finally said “how can you be proud of me?” After that convo he stopped everything but smeth. Just a few short years later he is 1 year 7 Mo clean.

my father finally stopped drinking at 67 years old! he was days away from death! I dropped my life and drove to get him ans took him to rehab! a lifetime of alcoholism and he is finally free from it. thank you for being there for the ones that do not have the help they need!
