I took a job based on the partners, after a few months I learned one wants to retire in a 5 year window and teach me everything he knows, and give me all his clients in that time. All I cared was that I got a liveable wage and liked the people I met

As a manager I couldn’t agree to this anymore! My colleagues don’t train and don’t challenge their staff. Staff sit stagnant and unpromotable for years. I love to hire for aptitude and attitude, I have high expectations but i train my staff to my level. All receive raises and promotions! Not to mention because of this my job is now easier, and I have loyalty!
