As an atheist, I believe this 100%. BUT…I like that a lot of religions bring morality where there wouldn’t be otherwise. I don’t trust people to do good without a moral compass.

He is absolutely right……here’s a question: If there was no eternal life in heaven after death even if you believed and worshipped God or any God of your choice and religion with all your heart….would you still worship God? If there’s no reward in an afterlife, no heaven, nothing…just silence, no seeing friends and family that have passed, etc…. would you still believe in God? Or is this truly about a “reward”, and one’s self satisfaction just to continue living in an eternal life?
