Definitely tires have to much air, I can mow almost straight up a hill side way and just fine, if not go up and then down hill don’t try and ride the hill the long way

because its a cheap craftsman zero turn . a light commercial , or commercial mower has more weight and wider tires and wont slide nearly as much . i mow ditches with mine that would flip a typical garden tractor

the problem is your pointing your front tires down the hill and trying to turn. finish your line all the way to the curb and then turn. its damn near impossible to turn without sliding the way you're doing it

Get more aggressive tires you can run those thing on a pretty steep hill with the right tires. My John Deere has tractor tires
