I wanna know whether Bella was directed to or chose to have Ellie be mostly stone faced in the emotional moments. Like do they think it added something? Do they think it made her more withdrawn and her struggle more internal? Bcuz like.. it aint working. It seems to always be between mostly unexpressive or screaming and on the brink of tears. I think i know what they were trying to go for but it just makes Ellie feel inconsistent
