nah, JJK was worst. they won AOTY based on 4 episodes of HIDDEN INVENTORY. The same thing happened with solo leveling, people voting with the wrong season in mind etc. But at least Season 1 of Solo Leveling was finished, JJK only had like 4 episodes counted for that year.

Jujutsu Kaisen's story is a point of major contention in the anime community. some people don't like it, others love it, some people said it lacked depth and nuance, and others argue against that by pointing out themes and points of nuance and subtlety. but something we all agree on, no matter how you feel about jjk, is that, at the very least, it HAD a story, even if you didn't like it. whereas solo leveling's story, even if you think it has one, is so bad that even fans of the show are acknowledging it. solo leveling is junk food; tastes good, but there's no substance. nothing to keep you around. no nuances to think about, no messages to decode from the plot, just "aura" this and "animation" that, every time. it's a generic power fantasy with better animation and voice acting than the rest. that's it. it's fun to look at. it's fun to watch the fights with your friends and make YouTube reaction video faces at the flashy colors on the screen, but there's no way it should've won anything but MAYBE animation and MC voice acting.

I remember someone saying that R34 is an indicator of what's good or not, by saying something with none is bad. their example was Raid shadow legends and all I'm saying is that I have not seen any Solo Leveling R34.
