Hank Hill of King of the Hill is a good comparison for whether a conservative is a good person or not. Did HH have some deeply bigoted conservative beliefs that negatively affected Peggy, Bobby&others in his life? Yeah. But as soon as u corrected him, he was willing to introspect whether he was in the wrong&change for the better.

Using the term "politically correct" is problematic on its own. Like, do you have to be perfect? No. Most people will give you grace if it's a mistake or you're under informed. But it's not correct due to anything political, it's just being empathetic to other humans. Calling it PC is just people's way of minimizing it.

I understand the sentiment. But sometimes when you give them an inch, they take a mile. Mistakes happen, it's human. But when people are corrected and they refuse to reevaluate, then they don't deserve grace. It's not the burden of the marginalized to coddle the ignorant.
