So let’s do some math. Standard deduction for 2025 is 15000. Income over 11925 is taxed at 12%. 17000-15000=2000. 2000*12%=$240. Under big beautiful bill, standard deduction is raised to 16300 keeping “bracket 2” at 12%. 17000-16300=700. 700*12%=84. Or a decrease in tax liability of $156. 156/240=65% decrease. Penn Wharton, which you are likely reading from doesn’t math.

My husband and I are a 250,000 annual income house. But we vote blue for social and economic reasons to help others; however, you lower income people who voted Trump because you wanted to rid the country of “illegal immigrants committing crimes”…. Enjoy this big beautiful bill! 💸

I’d rather pay $5,000 extra in taxes so my fellow Americans can have healthcare and social security. Honestly an extra $5-$10k a year wouldn’t make that much difference in my life, but could literally save American lives.
