@itsmrskelly: I keep thinking about my children growing up and the world in which we live, and how often the internet can just be a cesspool of the worst things imaginable. I’ve seen more people hurt, hated, killed, laughed at, etc on social media than I could ever experience in reality. And yet somehow we take those things and project them into our everyday lives, I mean, how can any one person empathise with the sorrow of an infinite number of people in an infinite number of hardships? Algorithms are designed to break us down to our lesser selves so that we just focus like drones on what’s next. Our attention span is the last frontier of the colonising.
