*Detailed Tutorial Below* I came across a little river with some mini waterfalls. it was dark enough for some long exposures with my Galaxy S25 Ultra and got these photos! (bonus tip for iPhone users!) what's needed: - a tripod, or steady hand - pro mode or app that allows you to set manual exposure - water falls! - optional clip on ND filter Step 1: set your iso as low as it goes. not only will your exposure be darker but it will create less noise in the image! Step 2: set your shutter speed at 1/60 or lower for some movement in the water! this will separate your images from the typical waterfall photos! Step 3: mount your phone on your tripod or hold it very still while your exposure is going! If you have a shutter release, use it!:if not a pro tip is to set a timer on to avoid shakes when you click the shutter. I didn't do that in the video. 🤦‍♂️🙃 Step 5: frame up your image! if you have a wide angle lens, get the lens close to the water so that it pronounces the water and makes a dramatic picture! if you use zoom, try not filling the whole frame with just the water. Try allowing some of the surroundings to show for better composition! Step 6: SHOOT IN RAW!! This will allow you to edit the image in the best way! Tip for our iPhone users: if you cannot shoot manual, turn on Live Photos! it records 1.5 sec before and after you take a picture. frame up your shot, hold very still until the yellow icon turns off. swipe up and you will see an option to do different things with the live photo, choose the long exposure option and you will have a beautiful long exposure waterfall image!
