Now cooking is definitely a skill both men and woman should have, but if you are looking for a man to provide for you and pay everything and you are chilling at home all day and working is optional for you, what are you doing besides taking care of the house…. It’s only fair.Again if your both working that’s alil different ya should both be in there.But regardless who ever is working the most and paying the bills the other partner with more free time man or woman should be taking care of the house again it’s only fair😂

I read "things fall apart" by Chinua Achebe in class some time ago, and as my only source of information about pre-colonial Nigeria it made me believe that gender roles were deeply rooted in the culture even then. I'm wondering if I misunderstood the content, or maybe the book isn't an accurate description of the past?
