Moral of this scene: Tsotsi wanted to find out if he was really cripple or not after their altercation. Turns out the guy was actually cripple and wasn't doing it for the money. Then Tsotsi wanted to know why does he continue to live life in such a way, the man's answer went over everyone. Even though he can't feel his legs, but life is still worth living if he can feel the warmth of the sun in is hands. He was trying to say, I'm still alive, and can feel warmth, rather than being a corpse whose cold and lifeless.
