Or, hear me out, she went and got her haircut, wasn't too overly confident about how she felt and made that story up to justify the change and get those "You look gorgeous" or "YAAAAS QUEEN" comments to make herself feel better. I see many feel bad for me posts that really are reassurance posts. Many variables at play. Lol.

so it's actually defiance rather than compliance, if someone says I like this it means keep doing that and she directly went against that, it's taking the power to do what you want even if it's against other people.

I literally did the exact same thing because a male coworker in his 60s would constantly make comments on my hair. I was already sick of it and ready for a big chop, that was just the final straw. I'm proud of her for making that choice when lots of women feel trapped in the 'femininity' cycle and feel that they always have to cater their appearances to men's taste.

I recently pressed charged against a drunk girl in a bar for trying to light my beard on gire because she didn't like it. She was charged, then dismissed. For trying to light somebodies facial hair on fire... But men are the only problem..

I want to believe when women say creep they quite literally mean someone who follows them around sniffs their hair or whatever else and not just someone perhaps a little socially awkward or someone they don’t find attractive but it’s just thrown around atp
