@the.tired.dad: This is our story. No one knew. We fought these battles alone and with each other. The only reason we made it through was because we were honest—with ourselves and with who we wanted to become. We killed our egos. We changed ourselves. We fought every single day. Not everyone gets a happy ending. I’m grateful every day that we’re now living ours. Social media shows the highlight reel. Behind closed doors, things aren’t always what they seem. We don’t know what others are going through, and it’s not our place to judge. But I hope this post encourages someone out there. You don’t need the approval or support of the world to heal. If you both want to fight for each other, you can. Keep showing up.

Yup! This is love. It’s hard, but damn it’s worth it. My husband and I have been through it all and dang do I love him more every time we make it to the other side. I’m going to go hug him now. 🥹
