It offers a magical wonderland where you really get lost in nature. 2. Drumtochty Waterfall This is a lovely area to explore and the hidden waterfall really makes you feel like you are lost in the most enchanting forest. 3. St Cyrus Beach One of Aberdeenshire’s most picturesque beaches offering beauty and the stunning coastal views. We know some people class it as Angus but we’re just going with what we read online! 🫣 4. Blackdog Beach Go back in time and explore all the hidden pillboxes that were put in place in the war. 5. Gight Castle A castle with a spooky story. There is a local legend that Gight Castle was cursed by Scottish prophet Thomas the Rhymer who proclaimed “At Gight three men by sudden death shall dee, And after that the land shall lie in lea”. Almost 500 years later, three men were killed and the prophecy fulfilled. 6. Whinnyfold Beach A Hidden spot to explore local wildlife in the heart of Aberdeenshire. And the little hut adds to the wonder and magic. 7. The Punch Bowl This is the punch bowl, famous for being used by the Earl O’ Mar in 1715 who is reported to have poured a stiff drink into the bowl to toast the Jacobites. And Queen Victoria has a stone house right beside the punchbowl 8.
