If Teachers or an administrator told me that I’m not allowed to call 911 and I or someone else is having an emergency best believe on breaking the rules and if they try to punish me, I’ll sue them because that’s unlawful retaliation can be charged with interfering emergency response and is also against the law to tell somebody they cannot call 911 or someone to help with a medical emergency and also if he gets in trouble, that would be retaliation and can be charged with violation of the first amendment right and depend depending on your state could be a violation on the whistleblower protection act and could get in trouble with local law-enforcement state law-enforcement could get in trouble with child protective services there could be fines lawsuits and in certain instances jail time for people who participated in retaliation or trying to state or enforce denying the right to call 911

Has anyone kinda realized that schools are set up and ran like the federal government yet or just me? Like you got the admin building an elected school board to which kids who’s parents are on never get in trouble or their friends never do just like congress there’s a chain of command that leave most others out of the loop that should be in it

When i was a lifeguard we weren’t allowed to call 911 until security guard arrived and determined that it was 911 worthy enough. I was the only one medically trained.

I work in a factory and we are not allowed to call 911 either, we have to call a supervisor and then Superviser comes down then they call medical and medical comes down. The medical calls 911. All of that takes at least an hour. *Side note* they at no point stop the line from running.

My admin recently said something similar. But I was taught in my teaching program and was told in a job interview teachers are mandated reporters and anything a teacher things a call should be made to the authorities they should first and foremost. Ohio teacher 16 years in.
