As a dedicated One Piece fan currently rewatching the anime for the **ninth time**, I deeply appreciate the effort behind the live-action adaptation. While I found Season 1 enjoyable, it fell into ‘mixed’ territory for me. I fully understand the challenges of condensing such a rich story not every character or moment could make the cut, and that’s understandable. The CGI, while solid in places, has significant room for growth. With Matt Owens departing and a new showrunner stepping in, I’m hopeful we’ll see major improvements in visual effects, pacing, and character depth moving forward. My optimism for One Piece is unwavering, and I believe Seasons 1–3 will serve as crucial stepping stones. Season 2 especially feels like the turning point if the team nails the Alabasta saga’s scale and emotion, it could elevate the entire series. Live-action anime adaptations are notoriously difficult, but I’m rooting wholeheartedly for this one to succeed. Here’s to hoping future seasons refine the vision and honor the legacy we all love!
