@hammsmom_shayla: Being stuck at home sick for a couple of months gave me the push to finally try something I’ve always wanted to learn—quilting. I’ve always found it a little intimidating, so I decided to start with a rag quilt as a first project 🥰 This one’s a baby blanket made up of 48 front squares and 48 back squares, all 7x7 inches. I used eight different fabrics for the front and one consistent fabric for the back. I also cut 48 batting squares at 5x5 inches. Cutting everything took some time, but it’s the first step! After that, I laid out the squares to get the pattern right and took a photo for reference before I start sewing. I’ll be sharing the whole process as I go—can’t wait to see how it all comes together. #ragquilt #beginnerquilting #quiltingproject #babyquilt #homemadebabyblanket #quiltinprogress #diyquilt #quiltingcommunity #brothersewingmachine #sewingathome #modernquilting #handmadewithlove
