I took the ending to mean Nathan can’t know if he has autism, since if he wants to fly the plane he cannot know to stay honest on the form. But it still begs the question: why should it matter if he does? He’s a good pilot, let my man fly his plane

another callback to the autism test happens during the flight when his copilot "makes a face" and Nathan tried to determine what he was thinking

As an autistic, this season was so powerful for me. The NT world controls the categories and abuses neurodivergents who are capable of doing much more than they can do. Dude learned to fly an effing 737 in 2 years.

I’m an air traffic controller, so have to go through a very similar medical standard to pilots. I haven’t seen this show yet but I’m a big fan of Nathan Fielder. Based off what I’m seeing, I hope this does raise awareness to how ridiculous the medical standards are for the aviation community. It causes people to hide medical conditions.

also the little moment at the end where he says "only the best and brightest get to fly these planes" that line is just so perfect and there are so many meanings behind it

That's the kind of subtlety that elevates comedy to art.

It’s crazy that the way it’s set up now, the FAA is really just preventing folks from getting help they may need which would actually make planes safer for us all

I think the fans of this show are so fucking pretentious. Kind of reminds me of Rick and Morty fan base like bro we get it. It really isn’t that deep. 😭✌️

Also very reminiscent of s1 when he went through the rehearsal with the Kor actor confessing that he gave him the answers to trivia, but then it cuts to him not sharing that info with the real Kor, because there is no amount of rehearsal or prep that can negate the stress that we feel in social situations and Nathan couldn’t overcome the burden of sharing that with Kor

NOT JUST THE FAA but almost any and every industry. When I saw him delete the voicemail and decide to lie about health survey I was like "ya it be like that" because I've "known" for years im more than likely on the spectrum. I learned about the RMET and took it thanks to this show and now definitely know lol. but I WOULD NEVER get a diagnosis because it would only hurt me in my social, professional, and possibly even personal life
