I completely disagree…. It’s all important and should be celebrated but I also have ONE child and he’s autistic so it’s extra special and important. I do me though….

I agree. Even at the prek level they have graduations and proms! Ridiculous. HS and college degrees are the only two graduations needed. This is that participation trophy mentality.

I don't have kids, but I see friends attending their kid's kindergarten graduation and I just roll my eyes. high school and college are the only graduation that matters!

We do not do kindergarten graduation they are not graduating. Grade 8, grade 12 college/university yes! I agree with you! Those kids that got the attendance award still came to school sick and passed it to others. 🤣

for me as a parent I feel the acceptable ones are Kindergarten because it's just that small first step for the kids but then after that middle school and high school. We don't celebrate 1st to 2nd grade or anything like that.

you don't work at the school so you don't see why certain things need to be celebrated. We spend over a hundred and seventy days with these kids & during that time so much has happened so to get to the end with the class you started out with is a feat in of itself

Yes!! I don’t even understand the “graduations” from elementary to middle or middle to high school! Makes no sense! I don’t have an issue with end of year awards. But ceremonies and graduations are too much!

Exactly! We don't need to have a party for every milestone in life. Then they expect it for every tiny accomplishment. We are also treating normal life occurrences as a crisis and trauma that require therapy. People can't deal with life anymore.
