I wear a swim dress. It covers everything important. You can wear swim wear and still preserve some sense of modesty.

C.O.N.S.E.N.T. Consent. Because she is consenting to be seen in her bathing suit in public but not consenting for a random man to see her in her skivvies. It disturbs me when men don’t understand this. It’s not the amount of flesh she is showing, it’s whether or not she wants that flesh to be seen.

two differences: 1- consent: at beach or swimming pool, you voluntarily display whatever you are comfortable with (within local law parameters) 2- context: most people are in similar attire & hence not all attention is focused on you based on how exposed you are.

The answer is simple: It’s a time and place for everything. You don’t feel weird about a swimsuit at the beach or pool because that’s what it’s meant for. A person wouldn’t normally wear a swimsuit in any other setting because it would be inappropriate.

My neighbor once yelled at me for mowing my lawn in shorts and a sports bra (because it was like 100°f out) claiming it was public indecency. I was on my private property, so the next week I did it in a bathing suit just to spite her

This is so on point !! I am a woman who chose to wear hijab at the age of 30 and it was life changing. The west has convinced you that this is freedom! Muslim women are the ones who are free!

The difference is intent. They were willing to be seen in a bathing suit. They did not want to be walked in on while changing.
