@momspirationirl: I don’t know what to think but it feels good to have the things I always struggled with to be validated. #adultadhd #adhd #homeschoolmom #homeeducation #MentalHealth
Lists! And visuals. It helps everyone understand and manages expectations. Keep it general, no details needed. I made a template in Canva, and update it weekly. Each kid gets a clipboard 📋 with their list. lmk if you want a video to explain 😁✌️

Open shelves with school supplies on them because if I can’t see it it doesn’t exist. A wall dry erase calendar in a heavy traffic area so I don’t forget appointments also phone calendar with alarms set for 2 hours, 1 hours and 30m before the event, I also keep a color coded appointment book, that way it’s a triple check system.

hands on! and go with the flow even if the flow goes off go on to something else then if thats where the brain is going. sometimes making connections is what matters and counts so if youre teaching something from a book and youre like let me show you and you get out hands on chemistry set on a reaction and then youre like oh this reminds me of how this works go show them how it connects! its brilliant!

I also treat homeschooling like a part time job, to make it seem more urgent to my brain. Same with housework and cooking.
