One of my best friends was addicted to Xanax that her father would give her that he shouldn’t have even been prescribed. He was prescribed 2 1mg per day…… that’s 60 1mg pills a month……….. she was completely addicted by the time we were 22.. trazadone, promethazine his doctor would give him anything and they were little drug buddies and would just pop them all together. One night she got a dui , drank the toilet water in the jail cell(whole other story 😩) and finally decided it was time to get clean. When she was detoxing she had seizures tremors, diarrhea.. you name it. I’m so glad we’re going to be 26 this year and she’s almost 1 year clean ❤️

After my daughter died, my doctor put me on everything under the sun. And a month later, I tried to take my life. I played that game for 10 years. Now I'm not on anything and doing the best I've ever been. Meds aren't the answer. Gut health is everything.

The fear mongering about medications has to stop.. leave these poor vulnerable patients alone. All of this force tapering and cutting people off proven medications that increase or give people a quality of life that is substantially better than without the medications is criminal. Walk a mile in these patients shoes and quit virtue signaling 🤦🏼♂️Force tapering patients off medications hurts the patient and can lead to self medicating and overdose. Just look at all the data collected..

Guys I just wanna remind you for the people who went to therapy for years before deciding to go on a SSRI this isn’t for us 🩵 you guys are safe if a medication isn’t working for you please speak with your doctor and taper off safely don’t over think this just breathe you are doing amazing 🩵🩵🩵

Without out my SSRI I couldn't survive and I'm in years of grief counseling and now becoming a therapist. I feel amazing. I still feel emotion and become depressed but not nearly as bad.

I feel like this isnt completely true. I'm on an anti depressant/ anti anxiety med. some people's brains are just sick. Some of these things are hereditary as well.
