It’s stuck because of the layers of fabric at the waist seam. It helps if you can push the seams away from the zipper at that point

Cheap zipper combined with cheap garment finishing. The zipper foot could be going through the webbing and they don’t adequately hand trim their seams so they’re too bulky to allow the zipper to slide past.

Switch your hands. Hold the dress with the hand on the zipper side and pull it up with the across hand. By raising your shoulder when you zip with the zipper side hand you deform the dress and make the zipper impossible to pull up.

stop paying for low quality clothing. If you can't zip by yourself; then the manufacturer doesn't care about the consumer or their experience. So they certainly do not care about their employees, so why support them? A 2-300$+ dress should function.

Push your hip up to a wall to hold the fabric taught, then hold with one hand above the zipper and zip it. Super easy, and you won’t have to ask for help :)

Ladies… this is just called quality clothing. You’ll find that zippers are like that in your more bespoke pieces. Even if they’re manufactured. I hope this clears up any confusion and doesn’t cause you any embarrassment in the future. You’re welcome.

I used to work in bridal alterations! There’s usually extra fabric at the waist seam of the dress that causes it! You’ll have to have someone else zip and use a ton of force! There’s not really much strain on the zipper so you will have be super forceful!

I love their dresses, but their zipper sucks😭. Sometimes the zipper would get stuck at the waist seam even when you try to zip it up on the coat hanger too. They could really do something about it😭

Cheap zipper. rub the graphite from a pencil up it and it might slide better.

It's probably just a cheap zipper but trick is to get rid of that slack. If you look at the top It's kinda bunch instead of tight? If that has tension as well as tension on the bottom you'll get it over

Same thing happened to me and my zipper broke in the little twirl dresses that went viral. Bought one for my dinner dress after my wedding and tag couldn’t wear it. Plenty of fabric.
