i’d start him off with a dagger tbh. when he reaches six moons, then maybe something a bit longer? 12 moons/year would be perfect time for an actual short sword. after that, it’s really up to you

pick a short sword so he doesn't learn bad habits by adjusting his base form for that much weight when he's just starting to learn, then give him new swords as he grows and weight training and eventually he'll get to a zwei
