But the messages are blatantly different in the new one? like I understand your point. but just because their are parallels doesn't mean we can't clearly see that one message is worse then the other in how it was presented to us.

For some reasons this reminded me that there’s a deleted scene that got so close to making it into the original cartoon, like it was already voiced and half of it was already done being animated but ultimately it was cut for seeming too alienating to the audience. If you haven’t seen it the gist is instead of the Elvis montage that is in the film you follow lilo around as she gives stitch advice and she keeps getting stopped by yt tourists asking for the beach and everytime she points in a random direction without saying a word. Finally she walks out to the beach herself and makes this huge announcment to the large crowd of mostly tourists about how when the sirens go off it means “100 ft waves are coming” and soon as she finishes the alarms go off cause it’s drill day and none of the tourists know

trying to separate this film from the politics and what os going on right now is a bold and weird choice… natives themselves are saying it’s propaganda 😭 polynesian proble specifically say it’s a weird misinterpretation of their culture, as another comment on this vid said… this is not the hill to die on

Usually, I don't have a problem with you, but every take you have made on this film is just incredibly contradictory to the original film. When analysing anything, the context of the original being so far removed from the remake is genuinely concerning. I don't think you're going to engage with me in good faith since you seem set on your view of things. That's fine, because you have your thoughts and I have mine. The reason me, personally, why I was upset is because I do literary analysis and media analysis for fun as part of stuff I study. I usually have no issue with you, but with your response I don't this conversation can be productive. Have a good day.

I haven't seen the movie, but I think a lot of people are just thinking Disney is way too sinister. Like, have you all ever considered that maybe Disney is just stupid?
