I was like that for almost 30 yrs. Buy the cheapest thing over & over so I ended up spending 10x as much over the years instead of just buying the high quality more expensive version once or twice in the same amount of time but I’d convinced myself I was being frugal so that’s what I did. Then one day like 10 yrs ago my bff & I were shopping for some home goods & she was like “why are you buying another set of knives? That’s the third set you’ve bought in as many years! Buy nicer ones & a sharpener & you’ll never have to buy knives again.” So I did & it changed my entire perspective.
