gotta get the rim of the can between the blade and the gear and when you push down on the handle, it should puncture and grab it. try a YouTube tutorial, I'm sure you're not the first asking this 🤷♀️

I have that same one. Open the arm put the can diagonal to the floor. It should rotate out if your hand.

That handle should lift up, you put the can under and it should kinda lock in and you push the handle down and it goes around.

red handle with a magnet should turn up a little. you put the can upright next to the vertical gear. push down with the red handle with the magnet and it will pierce the top of the can and the motor will start spinning the can cutting open the can as it goes. it may take a few tries to get the cutter on the handle to align correctly and cut the can. I had the same issues good luck you got this! 💛
