Hi beauty! I did a GI-MAP in jan and found out I had H-pylori which was causing my really inflammed acne! My Naturopathic Doctor told me that for H pylori (not talking about candida, and other overgrowths) you cannot eradicate it without antibiotics (you can potentially lower your levels, but not eradicate it). Therefore, I did a triple therapy (2 weeks of antibiotics based on my resistances) to eradicate it completely. Did another GI-MAP and the results confirmed it is 100% gone! Antimicrobials like berberine should help for candida tho (with no sugar/healthy diet)! I’m now on a natural protocol to rebuilt my gut after the antibiotics. Acne is almost completely gone (mostly working on scarring now). Hang in there, it gets better 🥰

I’ve done 6 months of gut work and now doing 3 months of liver work with my nutritionist. I started seeing less acne at the end of the 6 month mark. I am doing chemical peels to help give me some confidence back and get rid of scaring. Am I probably wasting money? Yes. Does it help? Also yes

I had horrible cystic acne about 6 years ago and I finally decided to cut out all dairy. And it helped significantly with balancing hormones. I still don’t eat it to this day! It probably took about 6 months to a year to make a noticeable difference🩷

So I would say it helped with inflammation A LOT! Like 90% but tbh it never truly took my acne away. But it just wasn’t painful. What helped me was seeing an esthi and using face reality and getting rid of my anti perspirant! I use the hello deodorant and my skin is glowinggggg

It’s going to take quite a while and being VERY consistent with it. Like no cheat days or anything. I would cut out all dairy, gluten, and sugar. Also your nervous system is probably on over drive from being stressed and worked up about your acne. Just relax and watch the progress and don’t give up on your diet! Your beautiful!

I found out I had candida and hpylori also. Was on a similar diet as you and naturopathic supplements to help clear it. After 2 months my skin was worse than before and I was loosing too much weight from the diet so I stopped!

I’m a functional practitioner in acne. For myself, the moment I regulated my blood sugar and quit seed oil, reducing systemic inflammation, my acne went away in a few weeks. I didn’t find out that I still had H.pylori, parasites, candida through GI map until quite recently but my skin cleared for 5+years already.

A couple of months and even then if I have a good amount of sugary snacks or junk food one day, I will pay for it with cystic acne. My gut is a lot more healed though and my skin is not as reactive anymore. I’m hoping it only get better as time goes on.

3-6 months for me! Had candida overgrowth in the gut with bad acne and perioral dermatitis - took a while to heal the leaky gut and establish a healthy gut microbiome! I still take probiotics and incorporate a lot of fermented food to help with this!

Although I can’t help answer your questions I just want to say THANK YOU for being so honest and transparent with us. I also struggle with acne and it’s completely knocked my self esteem but seeing your normalize it has helped so much. Even today, I was nervous about my acne for an interview and I kid you not, I heard your voice “if I don’t make it a big deal, it’s not” and I shook it off and went in. Just want to thank you for your vulnerability, keep your chin up 🫶🏻

Hey!! I have chronic gut issues and acne my whole life (did acutane and it didn’t even work). One day a changed my face wash and lotion and it was actually the biggest contributing factor and my skin cleared up within 3-4 months after that change

6 months (still healing) - maybe get your hormones checked too I found out I have high testosterone which = over production of androgens. Addressing my gut AND hormones helped the most

I cut out everything and hit my acne from all sides. Changed diet, stopped any caffeine or sugar, taking collegen and supplements, fragrance free sensitive cleaners and clean makeup, stopping touching face, wash my hands. Basically all hormonal acne gone within 6 months

it took 3 months for me. However, i was also doing the face reality routine, and doing chemical peels like every couple weeks + extractions. I feel like that helped me a lot. Also, icing your face every night helps with inflammation and redness

first time i did a but protocol i noticed a difference in a month but the second time around i had a miserable time and purged soooo bad for almost 2 months and my naturopath told me to stop the protocols cause she didn’t think i was responding well to it 🫠 (i know you’re taking methyl guard which i took too but it’s so high in b12 i couldn’t get clear until i stopped it)

Hey! I went through this last year and worked with a natural path and it took me 3 months to start to see results and about 6 months was my biggest progress. It’s hard but stick with it! You got it!
