she slept through every weekend for just about 2 years and blamed it on everything but our relationship, like perimenopause, work being too difficult, having headaches, pancreatitis, long COVID, Lyme disease, etc. it's hard for me to maintain boundaries for what I need when all those things sounded legitimate.

I just got out of a relationship with a dismissive avoidant. I finally stopped abandoning myself but it really sucks because I love them. I’ve just never felt so insecure in my life. I’m proud of myself though I consistently stated what I need for 6 months even though he has no interest in meeting me half way.
