Nothing says fall quite like an Apple Crumb Cake with a touch of cinnamon spice. 🍎 - INGREDIENTS: Crumb Topping: 200 g Brown sugar 100 g Granulated sugar 1 tbsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Salt 226 g Melted butter 313 g Flour - Cake: 313 g Flour 1 tsp Baking soda 1/2 tsp Baking powder 1/2 tsp Salt 170 g Butter (room temperature) 250 g Granulated sugar 3 Large eggs (room temperature) 240 g Sour cream (room temperature) 2 tsp Vanilla extract 375 g Apples (2 or 3 apples) 1/4 tsp Cinnamon - INSTRUCTIONS: Start by making the crumb topping: mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, & salt. Add the melted butter & mix. Then add the flour & mix with a fork until crumbles form. Let it rest in the fridge while making the cake. Make the cake: in a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients & set it aside. Using a hand or stand mixer, beat the butter & sugar on high speed for about 3 minutes. Add the eggs, sour cream, & vanilla extract & combine on medium-high speed. Mix in the dry ingredients on low speed until smooth. Do not overmix. Peel & cut the apples, put them in a bowl & sprinkle them with cinnamon. Get a 23 x 33 cm (more or less) baking tray covered with parchment paper, & pour the cake batter. Add the apples on top & finally the crumb topping. Flatten everything with a spatula. Bake at 177°C for about 50 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. #applecrumbcake #crumbcake #fallbaking #applecake #applecrumble
